Weed festival

Why do weeds give their name to a festival?

Weeds sprout and grow without asking permission, without anyone cultivating them. The same is true of the many paths that intersect our lives, often guided by the unexpected, discoveries, encounters, and stumbles.

And social phenomena—both personal and collective—are very much the same, often unfolding in ways that do not align with the planners’ intentions.
Among these are loneliness, fragility, and—as a counterpoint—the urgent need to reconnect, to create convivial settings where we can recharge.

This is why we’ve created a festival dedicated to weeds—that is, also to who we are and how we’re doing. The festival offers opportunities for connection and activities for both children and adults.
