How come weeds give a festival its name?
Weeds are born and grow without asking permission, without anyone cultivating them. The same happens with the many trajectories that intersect our lives, often directed by unforeseen events, discoveries, encounters, stumbles.
And quite similar are the social phenomena, personal and collective, that often happen without corresponding to the wishes of the planners.
These include loneliness, fragility, and, as a counterpoint, the urgency to find ourselves, to set up convivial contexts to regenerate ourselves.
That is why a festival dedicated to weeds, that is - also - to how we are, how we are. The festival offers moments of gathering and activities for children and adults.
