The exhibition brings together a diverse body of work created by Tonatiuh Ambrosetti between 2012 and 2024: photographs, ink drawings, and a sculpture are brought into dialogue to explore the sense of vertigo inseparable from any attempt to explore the poles within which human experience is situated: the cosmos and the unconscious, two vast realms whose boundaries remain unknown and whose parameters are in a state of constant flux.
The measured and minimalist appearance of the works on display contrasts with the lyricism of the title chosen by the artist for this project. This tension is also reflected in the formal approach through which Ambrosetti brings his creations to life: sometimes they arise instinctively, almost playfully; in other cases, they are the result of technical devices studied with extreme precision.
What all the works have in common is the choice to use simple materials to address extremely complex themes.
